It's fitting, then, that this year just so happens to be our girl Lizzo's first time in attendance, who knows a thing or two about being extra and owning it.

Needless to say, Lizzo's first Met Gala was a major success — so much so that we're already excited to see what she has in store for us next year.

The "Truth Hurts" singer rocked a neon-pink wig worn in an updo accented with tiny crystals and a sparkly headpiece to match.

In fact, one could argue that the "Cuz I Love You" singer is the embodiment of Camp in all of its glorious, over-the-top extra-ness.
