This size-inclusive brand from Target has plus from 14W through 26W and caters to many different body types: There are underwire bikinis with high-waist bottoms for busty women who need extra support; loose handkerchief tankinis that take the focus off the midsection; and off-the-shoulder suits that offer upper-arm coverage.
Loft, which introduced plus sizes last year, has a handful of different swimsuits in its signature florals and bright-but-not-too-flashy colors: flowy tankinis, tie-front keyhole one-pieces, convertible strapless tops.
Since its launch in 2017, model turned designer Olga Caro’s plus-size swimsuit line (sizes L to 5X) has consistently stayed up to the minute stylewise, embracing stunning silhouettes (like short-sleeve-shirt styles, wraparound tops, and string bikinis) and eye-grabbing prints (from leopard to houndstooth).
Although most patterns are offered across all sizes, Bruna Malucelli tailors the coverage to fit different bodies—like a powder-blue gingham bikini will be available in high-waist for curve and a low-rise for straight sizes.
There are the newcomers like Andie Swim and Summersalt, the classic brands like Anthropologie and Loft that are expanding their sizing to offer people of all shapes and sizes the opportunity to be stylish and confident all summer long.
Styles are available from sizes 2 through 22 and come in a wide range of colors (10 for its most popular suit, the one-shoulder Sidestroke).
Every suit I see on the Eloquii site, I’m like, “Damn, I want to wear that. ” The $80 drama ruffle one-piece looks like something pulled straight off the runway—in neon green “limeade” or black.
This month swimsuit start-up Andie Swim launched extended-size swimsuits in a selection of colors and styles (up to 3X), and will continue to add more options through the year.
Its ruffled one-piece suit has cap sleeves for extra coverage but helps you stand out of the crowd with a bright aqua floral pattern, and in what’s sure to become its signature plus suit, there’s a plunge one-piece that can be your new staple.
Even though the selection of swimsuits for shoppers over a size 18 is not as vast as that of our straight-size counterparts, there are designers popping up left and right offering trendy cuts, bold patterns, and vibrant colors that actually make you feel excited to go to the beach.
Brazilian label Bruna Malucelli partnered with CoEdition and Katie Sturino last summer to expand its highly Instagrammable swimwear to plus sizes, up to a size 3X.
Models pictured across the site are inclusive of all body types, which is refreshing when shopping on a site that has such a wide range of sizes.
Since 2017 Fashion to Figure has been stepping up the plus-size swimsuit game with styles that are bold and on trend. Itching to wear neon?
Just a few months after launching plus sizes, Anthropologie dropped three stunning swimsuits, all $120 and under and available in sizes 1X to 3X.
