In honor of this year’s upcoming election, the celebrity hairstylist has once again joined forces with accessories brand Kitsch to release a special "Vote" rhinestone hair pin that encourages eligible voters to get involved this election season.
Justine Marjan knows a thing or two about statement-making accessories — her collection of crystal-emblazoned hair clips have earned her a Power Your Pretty Award at POPSUGAR — but her latest design is sending the most important message of them all.
Marjan also mentioned that her idea to create the pin was inspired by When We All Vote cochair, Kerry Washington, and both of their eagerness to send a message about low voter turnout due to voter suppression and disenfranchisement.
"With the upcoming election cycle, I want to encourage young people to vote in the local elections as well as national, so that all our voices can truly be heard".
According to a product description, each pin is made with pavé glass rhinestones, and 100 percent of the proceeds from every piece ordered will go to When We All Vote "to help encourage those who haven’t registered to get out and make a difference".
The pin was created in collaboration with When We All Vote, a nonprofit organization launched by Michelle Obama to increase voter participation in every election.
