The 18-year-old MUA, who goes by @raggedyroyal on Instagram, shared her vision with Allure in an email. "With this look composed of Black-owned beauty brands, I wanted to highlight the importance of supporting companies that support Black artists daily," she writes.
As for the other products, Brown used Coloured Raine's Beauty Rust Palette on her eyes, Pat McGrath Labs' Chromaluxe Hi-Lite Cream in Pale Gold 002 for some sparkle, The Lip Bar's Lash Flash Strengthening Mascara) to fuse her lashes with the falsies, and MTF Cosmetics' Eyebrow Definer to shape her arches.
Brown garnered a wellspring of praise and positive feedback on her post in which she debuted the look, with countless comments from fans like, "Love this lip on you ????, "QUEEN," and "Just followed the brands i wasnt following just yet, thank you! " Additionally, some of the brands she used, including Coloured Raine, thanked her for the love.
It's no secret that Black-owned beauty brands have received a flood of attention and support over the last few weeks in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and anti-racist efforts that are finally taking place.
