19 Fragrances That Will Get You in the Mood for Fall

Pumpkin spice fan or not, these new fall fragrances play to all noses with classic combination of notes found in Armani's newest scent, rich, sweater-like comfort from Rebecca Minkoff, and unexpected blends like those found in Marc Jacobs's and Aerin's latest releases.

While every wearer has a unique scent experience with Maya Base, Allure associate beauty director Sarah Kinonen says she picks up notes of sweet sandalwood and warm musk every time she wears it.

An especially intense floral, it features two forms of jasmine sambac, along with tuberose and ylang ylang, so if you love white florals and know how they thrive in a fall scent, prepare to adore Profumo di Fiori.

Decidedly floral, like its predecessors, it's centered around jasmine and enriched with blackcurrant, musk, and pomegranate for an intoxicating, darker, and juicier scent experience.

It's topped off with cardamom, coriander seeds, and bergamot, warms up in the middle with tobacco and jasmine, and stays decidedly sensual with base note of tonka, labdanum, and patchouli.

The middle notes of peony are accompanied by jasmine, and cylamen; mandarin, pomelo, and lychee hang onto the juiciness of summer in the top notes, while sandalwood and musk gently welcome autumn.

You know that stretch of time in September when it feels like the weather can't decide whether it's still summer or ready to welcome fall, so it just kind of becomes an amalgamation of both?

Although the fruity-meets-floral notes of Chloé Eau de Toilette Rose Tangerine — blackcurrant and, yes, rose and tangerine — make it invitingly bright, it gets a sophisticated, fall-friendly anchor with a base of cedar and white amber, which stay subtly detectable throughout the day.

Vibrant notes of lemon, ginger, rose, and peony are gently grounded by musk and amber, creating a delicious fruit and floral cocktail with a smooth finish.

Made for nighttime wear, it's just as suitable for daytime spritzing during cooler months thanks to white musk richly fortifying jasmine and rose.

And now, with Velvet Crème Veil Cushion, the wonderful, warm scent is available as a portable cushion compact, so you can enjoy the rose, fig, and patchouli notes in a creamy, non-spillable format.

While we swap out our sandals and tanks for boots, sleeves, and coziness, we're also looking toward a fall fragrance lineup that plays to the woody, sweet, musky scents of season.

Bergamot, orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine, white musk, cedarwood, and vanilla have been friends for a long time, but My Way gets the band back together in a new way.
